Nonna Books is a research, design and publishing project that commemorates and preserves family histories.
Logo is inspired by old floor tiles which were common in most houses in turn of the century Tel aviv. An old Hebrew typeface is matched to create a modern but romantic, nostalgic feel.
When budget permits books are hand bound with fabric and the cover embossed. Layouts include family genealogy, migration maps, reconstructed photos, old letters, indigenous patterns and memorabilia. The end product is a beautifully bound book for generations to come.
This is a self initiated project with writer and editor Yael Cooper-Dovev
